PERSONAL FILES

Wackiest locker room prank?
This happened a few years ago in Tampa. Every day the guys have loads of sticks and magazines and things left out in the locker room to autograph. One day, Marc Bergevin put Stan Neckar’s gloves and helmet on the table, so all the guys signed them. Turns out it was his game helmet and gloves, and he got another helmet but had to play with the gloves that everyone had signed.

Nickname:
Right now it’s “Boiler.”

Best forward I’ve faced:
Peter Forsberg.

Best defenseman I’ve played with:
Rob Blake.

Roomates?
I was roommates with Andre Roy for three years or so. He is probably the funniest guy in the league. He used to sleepwalk and talk in his sleep. In French. I also roomed with Brad Lukowich for a few years, but now we’re old enough to get our own rooms on the road.

My biggest hit:
My first playoff game ever was against Washington, and I checked Danius Zubrus right into our bench. I got a penalty for it, though.

My biggest play (so far):
Everything I did in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals against Calgary in 2004. I can’t remember one specific play, but that whole game was the most important thing I’ve ever done, hockey-wise.

Closest friend in hockey:
Brad Lukowich. We were good friends when we were with Tampa and we got traded to San Jose together.

Favorite food:
Indian.

Favorite movies:
“Vanilla Sky.” I also like to watch “Rock Star” when I’m just hanging out on the couch or something.

What’s in your iPod? I have over 3,000 songs in there right now. I really like Mudvayne, Chevelle and In Flames. Superstitions:
Nothing concrete. The only thing is, I wake up from my afternoon nap every day at 4 p.m. for a 7 o’clock game, but that’s not really a superstition.

Best qualities for a person to have:
Honesty.

Charitable endeavors:
I make a lot of appearances for charity. I particularly like charity golf outings.

My hero is:
Conan O’Brien. He’s the funniest guy on TV.
